01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
Washiya offers both a meal and a sweet treat, with ikayaki and soft serve on the menu. One diner felt that care had gone into not only the batter but also the special and yuzu sauces, and said the flavours lived up to expectations. It’s a dish to savour while noticing the differences between the sauces. Another comment welcomed the child-friendly prices.
The soft-serve names are tempting in their own right, from “Simply” to “My First Love”. The latter is described as a combination of the owner’s favourite things. One diner had expected the flavours not to work together, but was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted. Other options include purple sweet potato, mango, rich chocolate, strawberry, burnt caramel, black sesame and matcha. Shiratama rice dumplings, tapioca and coloured chocolate sprinkles are also listed as toppings.
Both eat-in and takeaway are available, making Washiya an option whether you want to eat on site or take something with you.
